From the book:
These are studies on fasting in preparation for the month of Ramaḍān,
discussing the status of fasting in this blessed month, the evidences for
its obligation, the different stages of its legislation, its wisdoms and
virtues, the concessions related to it, and the conditions that make it
obligatory. It also includes rulings on fasting before its arrival, the rulings
concerning the sleep of the fasting person, the rulings on fasting for the
sick and the traveler, and the rulings regarding breaking the fast and the
pre-dawn meal (suḥūr). Additionally, it covers what is legislated for the
fasting person, what they must avoid, the rulings on fasting in relation
to blood discharge, the virtues of the last ten nights of Ramaḍān, the
virtue of Laylat al-Qadr, the pursuit of Laylat al-Qadr, making the best
use of the month’s time, and how to conclude the month. Furthermore,
it discusses the rulings on Zakāt al-Fiṭr, the recommended deeds after
Ramaḍān, the warning against following up good deeds with bad ones,
the encouragement toward steadfastness, striving for sincerity in action
and adherence to the Sunnah, and continually repenting with sincere
repentance at all times.
Since Ramaḍān is the month of the Qurʾān, I have also included chapters
addressing verses from the Qurʾān and topics related to it.
I have named these studies Daily Lessons to be studied during the month
of Ramaḍān.
